The Museum celebrates the life and work of Dr Edward Jenner, discoverer of vaccination against smallpox. It occupies the Chantry, the elegant Georgian house, set in one-acre of gardens, which was Jenner's home. Displays include; an audio-visual biography; personal memorabilia; a reconstruction of Jenner's study; exhibitis on smallpox and its eradication; and computer interactive displays on immunology, the science which he founded. Dr Jenner's vinery and 'The Temple of Vaccinia' (the rustic summer house in which he vaccinated the poor) are open to visitors.
